About the Artist

Artist Statement:

Traditional realist oil painter specializing in luminous coastal landscapes, seascapes, and florals.                                                My work is a celebration of the natural world, expressed through realism. I’m drawn to the way light transforms a landscape, the rhythm of ocean waves, and the intricate elegance of a single flower in bloom. These subjects—landscapes, seascapes, and florals—offer endless inspiration. Working primarily in oil, I strive to capture not just the appearance of subject, but its atmosphere and emotional resonance, and to reflect moments of stillness and connection that often go unnoticed.

Bio:

Cindy uses oil paint to study seascapes and waterfalls as well as
florals.

After studying illustration in art school and having a career in textile design,
Cindy had the fortunate opportunity to study oil painting with many
notable artists which include:
Grand Central Atelier with Greg Mortenson, Patrick Byrnes and Justin Wood
NY Art Students League with Richard Pionk and Ellen Eagle
John P Osborne, and Frank Acurri
and many workshops.
Now a full-time painter, she paints mostly seascapes, florals,
and figures in the seascape.
In 2017 she traveled and painted all around the U.S. in a
travel trailer for eight months. Many plein air paintings and photos of that
trip provide much inspiration for her paintings along with visits to N J beaches.
